For die-sinking EDM, the requirements for an efficient dielectric are the following: top machining speed, best surface results, optimum dielectric strength, minimum electrode wear, neutral odour as well as low contents of aromatics and not hazardous to health. Expert knowledge is particularly required in this context to achieve more ignitions per unit and, consequently, shorter erosion times.

esgemo dielectrics provide highest efficiency for die-sinking EDM, from roughing to super-finishing. They are produced using a synthetic base and are physiologically safe. Their chipping volume is very high in all applications. They are equally suitable for copper and graphite electrodes and have a low-wear effect onto the electrodes.

Application

esgeSparc SE 105 is a low odor, aromatic free, intensively removing dielectric for universal use, for the roughing as well as for the finishing. It is characterized by excellent flushing action – particularly in the narrow spark gap and high oxidation stability. The high flash point ensures esgeSparc SE 105 best job security. It is well tolerated by the skin, has a good settling and low evaporation and evaporation properties.

esgeSparc SE 105 is therefore the modern requirements of the new die-sinking EDM technologies fully compliant.

Multifunctional dielectric for sinking erosion

Application

esgeSparc SE 108 is a synthetic-based multi-functional dielectric fluid for the modern requirements of the newest sinking erosion. esgeSparc SE 108 is completely odorless and water clear. It is almost free of aromatics and particularly skin-friendly.

esgeSparc SE 108 was developed for the requirements of the mold and tool manufacturers in the field of plastics and die casting industrie. Due to its medium viscosity, esgeSparc SE 108 is ideally suited for the finishing and roughing applications. As a result, large workpieces can be produced on machines with high current ratings (> 60Amp), but also low roughness can be achieved. Due to the extremely low boiling range of only 12 ° C, esgeSparc SE 108 is a very innovative dielectric which guarantees a high removal rate while minimizing electrode wear.

esgeSparc SE 108 is waterclear to create high visibility of the machining process. Due to the high flash point, the best possible working safety is ensured. esgeSparc SE 108 can be filtered with all common filter systems.

esgeSparc SE 75 is a special dielectric fluid of low viscosity. It is been produced in a special refining process from paraffin – based hydrocarbons for the requirements of the newest erosion technologies. It is odorless, virtually aromatic-free and non-toxic.

esgeSparc SE 75 is particularly suitable for operations with high precision and high surface accuracy requirements as well as applications where high flushing and best filterability is required.

esgeSparc SE 75 is waterclear to create high visibility of the machining process. Because of the high flash point the highest possible working safety is ensured. Despite to the highest product quality viscosity, the evaporation tendency from esgeSparc SE 75 is noticeably low.

esgeSparc SE 75 is particularly suitable for Vollmer wire-cutting erosion machines (QWD) due to its low adjustet viscosity.

Description

esgeSparc EGR 130 is an innovative hydrocarbon fluid based on a new technology for the spark
erosion of diamond tools and / or carbide tools with diamond grinding wheels. One product for two different manufacturing processes.

esgeSparc EGR 130 is a paraffinic base oil, produced in a sophisticated refining process. It is characterized by a narrow boiling range and has a very low content of aromatics.

esgeSparc EGR 130 is neutral in smell and color; foaming is extremely low.

Features and benefits

Due to its innovative formulation and special additives esgeSparc EGR 130 has the following advantages:

  • Only one product is required for two process technologies on the same machine tool, spark erosion of polycrystalline diamond and abrasive grinding of carbide tools
  • low electrode wear on copper as well as graphite electrodes
  • very good rinsing properties in the erosion zone
  • very good cooling during the grinding process, no odor
  • very good lubricating properties during the grinding process

Safety and storage

The EDM fluid esgeSparc EGR 130 is not dangerous when used as intended. Nevertheless, it is recommended, that even with a product with such low smoke development, the resulting vapors should be extracted. Store casks under roof, if stored outdoors, keep the barrels lying horizontally,
so that the ingress of water can be avoided. Even the smallest amounts permanently change the dielectric strength and the electrical discharge process.

EDM fluid for fast hole drilling machines


esgeSparc DBT

Application

esgeSparc DBTis a ready-to-use, aqueous EDM fluid for processing in fast hole drilling machines.The product is mineral oil-free and non-flammable.

With this EDM fluid all spark erosive metals can be processed (in case of magnesium preliminary tests are necessary). esgeSparc DBT results in best removal ratio, highest dimensional accuracy, minimal burr formation and low wear. In addition, corrosion protection is achieved in the system.

The dielectric, when delivered, has a concentration of about 3.4% Brix, which can be measured with the Refractometer.
